Prop Firm Disclosure
This disclosure describes The Kevin Estate's relationship — or lack thereof — with third-party proprietary trading firms ("prop firms"). Please read before enrolling.
The Kevin Estate Is Not a Prop Firm
The Kevin Estate LLC does not operate a proprietary trading firm. We do not offer evaluation programs, funded accounts, profit splits, or any product through which you can trade our capital. We provide education only.
We Are Not Affiliated With Any Prop Firm
We are not owned by, partnered with, sponsored by, or formally affiliated with any prop firm, including but not limited to Apex Trader Funding, TopStep, Take Profit Trader, Earn2Trade, Uprofit, Elite Trader Funding, or any other firm. Any reference we make to specific prop firms in our curriculum is purely educational we describe how their rules and evaluation structures work so students can make informed choices. We receive no compensation, commission, or referral fee from prop firms unless specifically disclosed in writing.
Prop Firm Selection Is the Student's Decision
The decision to pursue an evaluation with any specific prop firm is solely the student's responsibility. Students should:
Research each firm independently
Read the firm's terms of service and payout rules carefully
Understand that prop firms vary significantly in rule structure, consistency rules, trailing drawdown mechanics, payout terms, and platform quality
Understand that some prop firms have been subject to regulatory action (see CFTC v. Traders Global Group Inc. dba "My Forex Funds," 2023) and that the industry is evolving
Understand that evaluation fees paid to prop firms are the student's expense and are generally non-refundable
No Guarantee of Evaluation Success or Payouts
We do not guarantee — and cannot guarantee — that any student will:
Pass any prop firm evaluation
Receive or maintain a funded account
Receive any payout from any prop firm
Avoid violating any rule (including trailing drawdown, daily loss, consistency, or news-trading restrictions)
Risk of Lost Evaluation Fees
Prop firm evaluation fees are paid directly to the prop firm, not to The Kevin Estate. If a student violates any rule during an evaluation or funded phase, the account is typically terminated and fees are forfeited. This risk is the student's alone to bear.
Simulated Execution
Most prop firm evaluation and funded accounts execute on simulated platforms, even when real-dollar payouts are issued. See our Risk Disclosure for how this affects performance results.
Independence
The Kevin Estate's curriculum is designed to teach trading skills that apply across brokers and execution environments, not to funnel students into any particular prop firm. We evolve our curriculum as the prop firm industry evolves.
